Peep-Hole Panto Fun at The Victoria Theatre, Halifax

A bit of festive fun for Beauty and the Beast audiences

We recently had the pleasure of producing a set of face-in-the-hole ‘peep-hole’ boards for The Victoria Theatre, Halifax, as part of their Beauty and the Beast pantomime.

Dotted around the theatre, these character cut-outs have been designed to bring a bit of extra fun to the panto experience — encouraging audiences to get involved, swap faces with the cast, and capture some properly panto-perfect photos.

Judging by the smiles (and tongues out 👀), the cast certainly enjoyed them.

What we supplied

For this project, we produced the printed display panels only, supplying:

• 3mm Foamex panels
• High-quality laminated prints for durability
• Cleanly finished face apertures, ready for use around the venue

All printing, finishing and lamination were completed in-house at Fresco, ensuring a robust, wipe-clean finish suitable for a busy theatre environment throughout the panto run.

Designed to be used — and reused

Peep-hole boards are a great example of interactive print done properly. They’re lightweight, durable, easy to position around a venue, and perfect for encouraging audience engagement — especially when paired with a social hashtag, as The Victoria Theatre has done with #HalifaxPanto.

They work just as well for:

• visitor attractions and museums
• exhibitions and touring shows
• corporate events and brand activations
• festivals, parties and seasonal promotions

A great addition to a classic panto

Beauty and the Beast runs at The Victoria Theatre, Halifax until Sunday 4 January 2026, and it’s great to see printed displays playing a small but memorable part in the overall experience.
