15th December 20172017 was a good year for events, we’ve been busy and we’ve seen our customers busy too with lots of different events throughout the year. 2018 is due to be no different so we’ve compiled a list of things that we’re looking forward to and you should too. This is our 2018 UK Events Spotlight featuring events up until May, the rest of the year to follow when . Highlighting things up and down the UK that we will be keeping an eye on.
London Fashion Week – 16-20 February – London
Kick start of the big events in the UK, London Fashion week always has a big impact on the fashion for the year in particular the summer. So keep your eyes peeled in order to have insight to the clothes you’ll be packing into your suitcase. With high fashion, watching the catwalk becomes performance art as the fabric takes on a more sculptural and impractical shape.
Last year there were some iconic looks and collections by Jasper Conran, TopShop and Armani. But now with social media it becomes more than just the brands catwalks, there are the after parties which are attended by many celebrities and models. And out on the street journalists spotting street style and many blogs written. The hype is massive and it does not disappoint year on year.

Not to mention the hundreds of stalls selling amazing food and baked goods, meaning when you leave you are full of chocolate guilt and a few pounds heavier. It is held in the NEC in Birmingham which is one of the largest exhibition halls so there is plenty to see and do over the weekend.

Locally it means coming together as a community to support all the fantastic athletes coming through Yorkshire. But it also means a great celebration of cycling and some international awareness too! As with Will and Kates wedding there is expected to be lots of events in relation to it like street parties, how great were they last time! It is to be held in Windsor Castle, a place which is special to the happy couple and the speculated guest list is supposed to contain Barack and Michelle Obama.
The Business Show – 16-17 May – London
One that we couldn’t really leave out of our events spotlight is The Business Show. This is really the biggest comprehensive show of its kind. A fair few of our 2017 customers bought VBanners and Curvorama to show off their stall to best ability and they worked really well.
Enterprise has never been more fashionable and it is reflected at the show. If you have a product or service that is suited to business owners you just have to have a presence. With speeches from the founder of Pure Gym, CEO of Yell, Dragons from Dragons Den and Levi Roots there really is a lot to be learnt and no doubt some inspiration to be taken too. There will be information and tips to as well as some products and services which could drive business improvements. Weather you’re an SME or a B2B there is bound to be something of interest.
